McKenzie is a seasoned solo club performer. Drawing on a vast repertiore of the most beloved songs of the last four decades, his show is fun, friendly and crowd accommodating.

 

PERFORMING SONGWRITER

Jimi has been a featured songwriter at The Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival, The Key West Songwriters’ Festival, The Southwest Florida Songwriters’ Festival and Florida State University’s Artist Series Seven Days of Opening Nights. His song "Your Town" is featured on the Tallahassee, Fl. Christmas CD "A Cascades Christmas". Jimi is a published songwriter in Nashville and Miami and has had songs covered by other artists.

McKenzie has released several albums including "I’ve Got To Go” and “New Trick” on the Miami, Florida label Coconut’s Records, and "Something To Anchor To" on the Night Sounds label. He is currently working on  an album of jazz inflected cuts as well as an album of Coastal Ameriana. Songs will be posted here for review as the projects move along

 For over two decades Jimi McKenzie has been performing, writing and recording. McKenzie music has made an impact. Whether playing solo in intimate listing rooms or opening for Jimmy Buffet, Commander Coty, Papa John Creech, The Bellamy Brothers or Ted Nugent.
